Do you have any client resources?

Making veterinary care easy and accessible to all is an important part of our practice philosophy. These links will give you more information and resources at your disposal to take the best care of your pet.

What are your hours?

Mon – Fri: 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
Sat: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sun: Closed

If you have any medical questions or concerns after hours, you can still reach a veterinary professional with our GuardianVets partners by calling our hospital through our main number. If it is a medical emergency, they will refer you to one of the following clinics: Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists, Upstate Veterinary Specialists, or Northway Animal Emergency Clinic.

What are your payment options?

For your convenience, Rutland Veterinary Clinic & Surgical Center accepts cash, checks, all major credit cards, Scratchpay, Trupanion Pet Insurance, and CareCredit.

Do I need to have an appointment?

Yes, patients are seen by appointment. Easily request an appointment for your pet using our online system on PetDesk and keep up with your pet’s health by downloading our app!

Do you offer international health certificates?

We do not offer international health certificates, but we do offer in-country certificates. Please contact us for more information.

Do you offer boarding?

We do not offer boarding and will not be bringing it back. However, we have made renovations to our hospital to offer a new dental suite, new grooming suite, additional rooms, and we are currently working on a comfort room.

What is your curbside protocol?

We are currently offering curbside or in-person appointments. Please call when you arrive and keep in mind that masks are required for all in-person visits regardless of vaccination status. Note that all medication and food pickups are still being handled on a curbside basis.

Do you accept pet insurance?

Yes, we will work with all pet insurance companies, but work most closely with Trupanion.
